Parking zones let you group vehicles into named, color-coded categories — for example Carports, Premium Preferred Parking, or Podium Garage Parking. Once a zone exists, you can assign any resident's vehicle to it. This article covers creating a zone, assigning a vehicle to it, and viewing or editing zones.
Note: Make sure the correct property is selected in the property dropdown at the top of the left sidebar before you begin.
Part 1: Create a parking zone (one-time setup)
Before you can assign vehicles, the zone needs to exist for the property.
In the left sidebar, go to Property → Parking Zone → Create Parking Zone.
Enter a Parking Zone Name (up to 32 characters) — for example, "Carports."
Optionally enter a Parking Zone Secondary Name (up to 32 characters) for an additional label or identifier.
Choose a Background Color and a Text Color. The Example preview updates live so you can see how the zone label will appear.
Click Add Parking Zone.
Part 2: Assign a vehicle to a zone
Zones are assigned to individual vehicles from the resident's record.
Find the resident using Search (or the Residents menu) and open their Resident Details page.
Scroll to the Resident Vehicles section and locate the vehicle's card.
Click Vehicle Actions, then select Assign Parking Zone.
On the Edit Parking Zone screen, open the Select Zone dropdown and choose the zone you want to assign.
Click Submit.
The vehicle is now counted under that zone. You can repeat these steps for each vehicle you want to assign.
Part 3: View, edit, or unassign zones
View all zones: Go to Property → Parking Zone → View Parking Zone List. The list shows each zone's name, secondary name, and Total Vehicle Count (how many vehicles are currently assigned to it).
Edit a zone: On the Parking Zone List, click Edit Zone next to the zone to rename it or change its colors, then click Update Parking Zone. Changes apply to every vehicle in that zone.
Unassign a vehicle from a zone: Open the resident's record, click Vehicle Actions → Assign Parking Zone on the vehicle card, choose Unassign Zone from the dropdown, and click Submit.
