Resident Portal Walkthrough (PM Perspective)

A screen-by-screen tour of what residents actually see in the ParkingPass resident portal — so when they call with a question, you know exactly what they're looking at.

Property managers answer resident questions all day. Those conversations go faster when you can picture exactly what the resident is looking at — the buttons, the labels, the empty states, the things that aren't where they expect them to be.

The resident portal lives at my.parkingpass.com — the same URL you use, but with a completely different layout once a resident logs in. Residents land on an action-focused dashboard, and most of what they ask you about (permits, payments, guest passes, violations, the parking policy) sits one level in from there. Knowing that layout is what lets you answer "where is it?" in one sentence instead of three.

This walkthrough is now split into three articles, each answering a different kind of question.

Start Here

  • How to See What the Resident Sees — The Login As User procedure: where to find it, when it's available, when to use it, and what impersonation records. Start here when a resident is describing something you can't picture.

  • The Resident Portal at a Glance — The screen-by-screen reference, in sidebar order: Dashboard, My Account / Vehicles, Payment System, Guest/Rental Vehicles, View Parking Policy, My Violations, Help / Support and Message Property Management, and Profile. Use it when you need the detail of a particular page.

  • Common Resident Questions and Where to Look — The support-desk shortlist: the questions residents ask most and where the answer lives, plus the portal behaviours that most often surprise PMs. Use it while you're on the phone.
