Lease expiration dates are stored on each resident's profile and drive several parts of how ParkingPass treats that resident — early-renewal eligibility, payment availability, and parking access after the lease ends.
You can update a single resident's lease date directly on their profile, or update many residents at once using the Resident Data Manager.
How to Update a Single Resident's Lease Date
Open the resident's account.
Click the green Quick Actions dropdown (top-right of the profile).
Select Update User Info.
Locate the Lease Expiration Date field.
Enter the updated lease expiration date.
Save changes.
The update takes effect immediately.
Bulk Editing Lease Dates
If you need to update lease dates for many residents at once (for example, after a property-wide renewal cycle):
Open Resident Data Manager from the left sidebar.
Download the CSV template if needed.
Upload a file with updated lease dates.
Review and confirm the changes.
See Importing and Managing Resident Rent-Roll for the full Resident Data Manager workflow.
Month-to-Month Leases
Residents who are on a month-to-month lease can have their lease configured to roll forward automatically. This avoids the need to reset the lease expiration date every month. Configuration is handled through the resident's profile or via Resident Data Manager.
Why Lease Dates Matter
Lease expiration dates:
Control early renewal eligibility (up to 10 days before permit expiration)
Prevent payments when a lease has expired
Help keep resident status accurate
Reduce permit lapse and late-fee scenarios
If a resident reports they can't renew or pay early, check the lease expiration date first.
Important Notes
Only authorized property management users can update lease dates.
Changes apply instantly once saved.
An expired lease may also appear on your dashboard's Lease Status widget — see Reading Your Dashboard.
