Managing Future Move Outs

Understanding how to manage future move outs.

Future Move-Outs let you schedule resident move-outs in advance, so the system automates the transition on the day the resident leaves. This avoids having to manually process every move-out on the day it happens.

It's the recommended way to handle planned departures, lease ends, and non-renewals.

Schedule a Future Move-Out

  1. Log in to your ParkingPass account.

  2. From the left navigation, open Reports → Expired Leases.

  3. Locate the resident in the list.

  4. Click Schedule Move Out.

  5. Set the move-out date.

Once scheduled, the resident appears in the Future Move Outs report for further management.

Manage Future Move-Outs

  1. From the left navigation, open Reports → Future Move Outs.

  2. Use the filters to locate a resident by:

    • Unit

    • Address

    • Building

    • Status

  3. For any scheduled move-out, you can:

    • Edit Date — Update the scheduled move-out date. The system will process the move-out on that day.

    • Move Out — Move the resident out immediately. Takes effect right away.

    • Cancel — Remove a previously scheduled move-out date.

What Happens on the Move-Out Date

  • The resident's account is moved out automatically on the scheduled date.

  • Their account is no longer active for parking.

  • All active resident and guest passes are ended.

  • The unit becomes available for the next resident's onboarding.

Important Notes

  • Future move-outs must first be scheduled from the Expired Leases report and can then be managed from the Future Move Outs report.

  • Once a resident is moved out, the action cannot be undone — you would need to invite them again as a new registration.

  • Canceling a scheduled future move-out keeps the resident active in the system.

  • This task is a recommended weekly check — see Property Manager Quick Start: Your Daily Playbook.
