Guest passes allow temporary vehicles to park at the property for a limited duration based on your community's configured parking rules.
Residents can create guest passes themselves directly through their portal. As a property manager, you can also create passes on a resident's behalf and override guest limits when necessary.
How Residents Register a Guest Vehicle
Residents can create a guest pass from either location:
Option 1 — From the Dashboard
Log in at my.parkingpass.com.
Click the red Register Guest / Rental button at the top of the page.
Option 2 — From the Left Navigation
Log in.
Select Guest / Rental Vehicles.
Choose Register Guest / Rental.
Guest Pass Options
On the registration screen, users can:
Create a guest pass.
Invite a guest to register their own vehicle.
Extend an existing guest pass (if permitted by configuration) — see Extending a Guest Pass.
To complete registration, the following information is required:
Country
State
License plate number (with confirmation)
Vehicle make, model, and color
Start date and time
For future-dated passes, the selected start time will automatically apply through the final day of the pass.
If paid guest parking is enabled, applicable fees are displayed before submission.
Property Manager Override Option
When creating a guest pass from a resident's account, property managers can use the Override checkbox on the registration page to bypass configured guest limits. This allows the guest pass to be created even if:
The resident has reached their guest pass limit.
The guest vehicle is otherwise restricted under standard rules.
Overrides apply only at the time of creation and should be used in accordance with property policy. See Overriding Guest Pass Limits for details.
After Submission
The vehicle appears in the Active Guest Vehicles section.
A confirmation email is sent with start and end details.
The guest pass activates for the selected time period.
Important Notes
Guest pass limits, pricing, and restrictions are determined by property configuration — see Guest Parking Settings.
Override capability is available to property managers during pass creation.
Refunds are not offered for guest passes that are ended early or unused.
Changes to guest configuration must be coordinated through ParkingPass Support.
