Updating a resident's lease expiration date
Last updated: November 4, 2026
Update a resident's lease expiration date on their profile when they renew or their lease changes. Lease dates control early renewal, whether the resident can pay, and their parking access after the lease ends.
Who can do this: Property Managers, Office Staff.
Before you start
Have the resident's new lease expiration date ready.
To update many residents at once, see Bulk editing lease dates instead.
Steps
Open the resident's account.
Click the Quick Actions dropdown at the top right of the profile.
Select Update User Info.
Find the Lease Expiration Date field.
Enter the new date.
Save your changes.
What happens next
The new date takes effect right away. If the lease had expired, the resident drops off the Expired count in the dashboard's Lease Status widget.
Important notes
Lease dates control early renewal. Residents can renew up to 10 days before their permit expires.
Residents can't pay for a permit while their lease shows as expired.
Accurate lease dates help prevent permit lapses and late fees.
Residents on a month-to-month lease can have their lease roll forward automatically, so you don't have to update it every month. See How do I enable and confirm the month-to-month lease option in ParkingPass?
Troubleshooting
If a resident says they can't renew or pay early, check their lease expiration date first.
