Registering a guest pass
Last updated: November 4, 2026
A guest pass lets a visitor's vehicle park at your community for a set time, based on your community's guest rules. Residents register guest passes from their portal, and you can also create one from a resident's account.
Before you start
Have the guest's vehicle details ready:
Country and state
License plate number
Vehicle make, model, and color
Start date and time
Steps
Note: Guest vehicle registration is only available from a resident/personal account, not from the Property Manager dashboard.
Log in at app.parkingpass.com.
Click Register Guest / Rental at the top of the dashboard, or go to Guest / Rental Vehicles → Register Guest / Rental.
Choose to create a guest pass. You can also invite the guest to register their own vehicle.
Enter the country, state, and license plate number, then enter the plate again to confirm it.
Enter the vehicle make, model, and color.
Choose the start date and time.
If your community has paid guest parking, review the fee shown before you submit.
Submit the pass.
What happens next
The vehicle appears under Active Guest Vehicles.
A confirmation email goes out with the start and end details.
The pass becomes active for the selected time period.
Important notes
Guest pass limits, pricing, and restrictions follow your community's settings. See How guest parking settings work.
When signed into a resident's account, property managers can use the Override checkbox on the registration page. Guest registration is not available directly from the Property Manager dashboard. you can check Override to go past the resident's guest limit or a standard restriction. Use overrides according to your community's parking policy. See Overriding a guest pass limit.
To give a guest more time, see Extending a guest pass.
Refunds aren't offered for guest passes that are ended early or unused.
To change your community's guest settings, email support@parkingpass.com.
