Tiered Pricing
Some communities use tiered pricing to determine parking permit costs based on the number of vehicles registered to a unit. Each vehicle is assigned to a specific tier depending on how many vehicles are associated with a unit.
How Vehicle Tiers Work
Tier format is written as:
[Tier 1.Vehicle #]
The number after the period represents the vehicle number registered to the unit.
Examples:
-
Tier 1.1 = First vehicle
-
Tier 1.2 = Second vehicle
-
Tier 1.3 = Third vehicle
As additional vehicles are added, they may fall into a higher pricing tier depending on the community’s setup.
Example Pricing Structure
Below is an example of how vehicle-based tier pricing may be structured:
| Vehicle 1 | Vehicle 2 | Vehicle 3 |
|---|---|---|
| $50 | $55 | $60 |
In this example:
-
A resident registering their first vehicle would fall under Tier 1.1
-
A resident registering their second vehicle would fall under Tier 1.2
Important Notes
-
Not all properties use multiple vehicle tiers.
-
Some communities configure a single pricing tier, meaning all vehicles cost the same amount.
-
Vehicle tier pricing is determined by your property management team during onboarding.
-
If a specific tier is not configured, the system will apply the next available pricing tier set by the property.
