Permit Expiration, Grace Period & Late Fees
Permit expiration dates are communicated in advance through automated notifications. If a permit expires, a system-driven grace period applies before late fees are added.
How the Grace Period Works
-
Expiration reminders are sent prior to the permit end date
-
A 10-day grace period begins immediately after expiration
-
If renewal is not completed within those 10 days, a 15% late fee is automatically applied
The grace period is applied consistently across accounts and does not require manual action.
Late Fee Application
Late fees are system-generated once the grace period has passed.
Renewal must be completed before the end of the grace period to avoid the additional charge.
Configuration & Policy Alignment
Late fee structure and grace period timing are established during onboarding and may be tied to the property’s agreement.
Changes to expiration or late fee configuration must be coordinated through ParkingPass Support in collaboration with Account Management.
Important Notes

Late fees are added automatically once the grace window closes.

Enforcement vendors rely on active permit status during validation.
- Refunds are not offered for unused days, or permits that are ended early.
-
Refund eligibility is limited and governed by the Refund Policy:
