Resident Registered Too Early (Not Moved In Yet)
If a resident registers their account before their actual move-in date, the system will begin tracking their permit timeline immediately. This can lead to late fees or enforcement if not addressed.
Steps
- Open the resident’s account from your dashboard.
- Review the vehicles listed on their account.
- If the resident has not yet moved in:
- Use the Vehicle Actions dropdown to delete the vehicle(s) from their account.
- Advise the resident to re-register their vehicle closer to their actual move-in date.
💡 Tip: If something doesn’t look right, try refreshing the page or signing out and back in.
Important Notes
- The system begins tracking permit timelines as soon as a resident registers.
- Residents have 10 days to complete their permit purchase before late fees or enforcement may apply.
- Residents should not be invited or register until they are ready to move in.
- When approving resident applications, you must set the correct move-in date. This date cannot be edited later, so accuracy is important.
- If a resident registers early, removing the vehicle will prevent the system from tracking an active permit.
- In some cases, the resident may need to create a new account if registration occurred too early.
Troubleshooting
If you run into issues:
- Confirm the resident has not already purchased a permit
- Check that all vehicles have been removed from the account
- Have the resident re-register closer to move-in if needed
- Try a different browser or device
