Inviting New Residents

Property managers can send invitations directly from the dashboard, allowing residents to securely enter their vehicle and contact information. Once submitted, registrations appear for review so their parking access can be approved or declined based on property rules.

Steps

Step 1: Send a Resident Invitation

  1. Log in to your ParkingPass property manager dashboard.

  2. Navigate to Residents from the left-hand menu.

  3. Select Invite Residents.

From this page, you’ll see three tabs at the top:

  • Invite Individual – Send an invitation by entering the resident’s first name, last name, and email address, then accepting the required permission disclaimers.

  • Share Link & QR Code – Generate a registration link or QR code that residents can use to register themselves.

  • Bulk Upload – Upload multiple residents at once using a file upload option.

Step 2: Invitation Status

Once an invitation is sent, it will appear in the Invited Residents list on the same page. At this stage, the resident’s account status will show as Not Registered.

Step 3: Resident Completes Registration

The resident will receive an email invitation prompting them to:

  1. Enter their personal and vehicle information.

  2. Verify their registration using a one-time SMS code sent to their phone.

After submission, their account begins processing.

Note: It may take up to 24 hours for the system to fully reflect the registration.

Step 4: Registration Confirmation

Once registration is complete:

  • The Account status will change from Not Registered to the resident’s full name.

  • The resident’s name will become a clickable link that opens their account details.

Step 5: Approve or Decline the Resident

From the Property Manager Dashboard, you’ll see all new resident applications. From there, you can:

  • Approve the resident to activate their parking access, or

  • Decline the application if it does not meet property requirements.

Important Notes

  • Residents must complete SMS or Email verification for registration to proceed.

  • Registration status updates may take up to 24 hours to display.

  • Parking access is not active until the resident is approved by the property manager.

  • Approval and enforcement decisions are managed at the property level.

Troubleshooting

If registration issues occur:

  • Confirm the resident used the correct invitation email or link.

  • Ask the resident to check their spam or junk folder.

  • Ensure the resident completed SMS or Email verification.

  • Allow up to 24 hours for the status to update.
