Importing and Managing Resident Rent-Roll

The Resident Management tool allows property managers to upload and manage resident information in bulk. This feature makes it easy to import a full rent-roll using a CSV file, map resident data fields, and review or update resident records directly within ParkingPass.

Steps

  1. Log in to your ParkingPass account.

  2. From the left-hand navigation menu, select Resident Data Manager.

  3. Download the CSV template (optional).
If you need help preparing your file, the template provides the correct column structure for a successful import.

  4. Upload your resident file.
Drag and drop your completed CSV file into the upload area.

  5. Confirm the column mapping.
Review how each column from your CSV file maps to the system fields. Common fields include:

    • Address

    • Building

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Email

    • Phone Number

    • Lease Expiration

    • Future Move-Out Date

    • Future Move-In Date

  6. Review imported records.
Once the upload is processed, you can review the resident entries and make any necessary adjustments or updates.

  7. Confirm the import.
After confirming the information is correct, finalize the import to add the residents to your system.

💡 Tip: If the file does not upload successfully, verify that it is saved as a CSV (.csv) file and that the column headers match the template format.

Important Notes

  • The Resident Data Manager tool is designed to simplify bulk resident uploads and rent-roll management.

  • Using the provided CSV template helps ensure the correct formatting for imports.

  • Resident information can be reviewed and edited after the file has been uploaded.

  • Records can be updated later if lease dates, move-in dates, or move-out dates change.

Troubleshooting

If you run into issues:

  • Confirm the file is saved in CSV (.csv) format.

  • Check that your column headers match the template structure.

  • Make sure required fields such as name and address information are included.

  • Try uploading the file again after making any corrections.
