Guest Parking Settings

Guest parking rules are configured during onboarding and determine how guest passes function at the property.

Some communities use:

  • Free guest parking with limits

  • Paid guest parking

  • A hybrid structure (free up to a limit, then paid)

All guest pass rules are system-driven and enforced automatically based on the property’s configuration.

Core Guest Parking Settings

Guest parking may be configured with the following controls:

Consecutive Day Limits

Limits how many days a single guest vehicle may park consecutively before becoming restricted.

Future Guest Pass Rules

Controls how far in advance guest passes can be scheduled and whether usage is counted through the end of a calendar period (such as end-of-month limits).

Reset Frequency

Determines how often guest usage limits reset. Common configurations include:

  • Daily

  • Weekly

  • Monthly

Time Increments

Defines the duration options available when creating a guest pass (hourly, daily, multi-day, etc.).

Usage Limits Before Charges Apply

Some properties allow a set number of free guest passes before fees begin. After the threshold is reached, payment is required for additional passes.

Resident-Level Pass Limits

Controls how many guest passes each resident may create within a given period.

Viewing Current Guest Settings

Guest parking rules can be reviewed by:

  • Selecting Parking Policy from the Property Dashboard

  • Opening Manage Property Settings and reviewing Guest Parking configuration

Configuration & Change Management

Guest parking rules are established during onboarding and may be tied to the property’s agreement.

Changes to guest configuration are coordinated through ParkingPass Support in collaboration with Account Management to ensure alignment with enforcement structure and contract terms.

Important Notes

  • Guest limits and restrictions are enforced automatically by the system.

  • Enforcement vendors rely on guest status during validation.

  • Adjusting configuration can impact enforcement workflows and resident billing behavior.
