The Reports sidebar item contains everything ParkingPass tracks about your property's parking and enforcement activity. Most PMs only use a few reports day-to-day, but knowing what each one shows helps you find the right data when a specific question comes up.
This article is a map of every report in the Reports section: what each one shows, when you'd reach for it, and where the deeper documentation lives when it exists.
Where Reports Live
Open Reports from the left sidebar to see the full list. Most reports are grouped under a Patrol subsection — that's where the bulk of operational reporting sits.
All reports support a date-range filter at the top of the page; many also support property filtering, search, and export.
Patrol Reports
Patrol Analytics
The flagship report — a visual dashboard of patrol coverage, violation hotspots, enforcement trends, and frequent violators over a chosen date range.
When to use: Monthly program review, board-meeting prep, identifying problem areas, evaluating patrol vendor consistency.
Full documentation: Patrol Analytics – Understanding Your Community Enforcement Activity (descriptive) and Using Patrol Analytics to Improve Your Parking Program (workflow).
Patrol History
A row-by-row log of every patrol that occurred at the property, with start/end times, duration, the patroller, day of the week, and per-patrol counts of warnings, citations, boots, and tows.
When to use: Investigating coverage gaps, checking what happened on a specific night, verifying vendor performance row by row, cross-referencing with resident complaints.
Patrol Calendar
A calendar visualization of patrol activity — green days indicate patrol occurred, yellow indicates a patrol hold, gray indicates no activity.
When to use: Quick visual scan for coverage consistency. Faster than reading row-by-row history if you just want to confirm "did patrol run last week?"
Live Patrols
Shows patrols currently in progress at the property.
When to use: Confirming a vendor is actively patrolling at this moment, often during a resident call ("they're towing my car right now").
Boot Dispatch Report
Tracks every boot dispatched and removed, with a specific focus on removal time (how long between dispatch and removal). Columns: Brand, Region, Property, Device ID, Patroller, License Plate, Dispatched, Removed, Removal Time, Violation. Filters by Brand, Region, Property, Patroller, and Status.
The report notes that removal time is measured from dispatch to removal — a useful metric for monitoring how responsive boot operators are.
When to use: Investigating boot disputes ("how long was my car booted?"), reviewing boot operator performance, and reconciling boot-related vendor activity.
Violation and Enforcement Reports
Violation Report (Violations)
The full list of enforcement actions — warnings, citations, boots, and tows — for a chosen date range. Each row shows ticket number, license plate, vehicle, violation reason, final action, date, patroller, status, and an action menu (View Violation, Add Photos, Remove Resident, Remove Violation).
When to use: Investigating a specific violation, exporting enforcement activity for a board meeting, filtering by violation type (e.g., all tows in the last 30 days).
The Violation Report is also reachable from the View Violations button on the dashboard's Violations Past 7 Days widget.
Citation Report
This one is often misunderstood. The Citation Report is a payment/AR view of citations and boots — not just a filtered subset of the Violation Report.
At the top of the page are five summary cards: Total Amount, Paid, Unpaid, Refunded, Cancelled, each with a dollar amount and a count of underlying payments. Rows include Issued date, Property, Tag, Ticket, Vehicle Type, Vehicle, Status, Dispute status, In Collection flag, Amount, Violation link, and Activity.
Filters: Property, Status, Vehicle Type, Date Range. The page also supports Export, Export ICS Debt, and Import for debt management.
When to use: Tracking citation revenue, reviewing what's owed vs paid, identifying citations that are in collections, or reconciling for accounting and board reports.
Citation Dispute Report
The status of every dispute filed at the property — open, pending, resolved, expired.
When to use: Working the dispute queue daily, tracking response cadence, identifying disputes approaching their deadline.
Also linked from the Citation Disputes widget on the dashboard. For full handling: Citation Disputes: A Complete Workflow Guide.
Reports Outside the Patrol Section
Several useful reports live in other parts of the platform rather than under Reports → Patrol. A few worth knowing:
Expired Leases / Lease Status
The Lease Status widget on the dashboard summarizes expired and expiring-soon leases. Clicking through opens the underlying report.
Future Move-Outs
Residents scheduled to move out, surfaced when you've set up a Future Move-Out for them. Useful for planning property changes and DNT cleanup.
Payment / Refund History
Per-resident payment history lives on each resident profile. For property-wide payment activity, see the Revenue or Payment reports under the relevant sidebar item.
Choosing the Right Report for a Question
"What's our enforcement activity looking like overall?"
Patrol Analytics — visual, summary-style, good for board prep.
"Did patrol actually happen on the days they billed us?"
Patrol History or Patrol Calendar — Calendar for a quick visual, History for row-level detail.
"How many tows did we have last month?"
Violation Report, filtered to Tow only, date range to last month.
"How much do we have outstanding in unpaid citations?"
Citation Report — the Unpaid stat card at the top shows the dollar total and count of underlying payments.
"What's the status of the disputes in my queue?"
Citation Dispute Report.
"Is patrol there right now?"
Live Patrols.
"A resident says they were booted unfairly."
Boot Dispatch Report for the operational record (including how long it took to remove the boot), plus Violation Report for the underlying violation that triggered it.
"What's the long-term trend in violations?"
Patrol Analytics — its Violation Analytics & Trends section is exactly this.
"I need to understand a specific violation in detail."
Violation Report → click the ticket → review the record and any photos.
Filters Common to Most Reports
Across the reports, a few filters appear consistently:
Date Range — Most reports.
Property — When you manage multiple properties.
Status — Citation Report, Boot Dispatch, others.
Violation Type (warnings, citations, boots, tows) — Violation Report.
Vehicle Type — Citation Report.
Patroller — Patrol History, Violation Report, Boot Dispatch.
Day of Week — Patrol History.
Brand / Region / Enforcement Company / Business Model — Reports oriented to multi-property or vendor analysis (Patrol Coverage, Boot Dispatch).
Search — Across rows, usually by plate, vehicle, or resident.
Include Archived / Exclude Archived — Violation Report.
Export to Excel / Export PDF / Export — Most reports support some form of export. The Citation Report additionally supports an ICS Debt import/export for accounts-receivable workflows.
Common Scenarios
"I need to prep for our quarterly board meeting"
Open Patrol Analytics, filter to the last 90 days, click Export PDF.
Pull Citation Report for the financial snapshot (Total / Paid / Unpaid / Refunded / Cancelled).
Pull Citation Dispute Report for the dispute snapshot.
"A resident is on the phone asking about their tow"
Open Violation Report, search by plate or filter to Tows.
Click the matching row → review the violation reason, time, photos.
Cross-reference with the resident's permit/pass status in their profile.
If the dispute path is needed, see Citation Disputes.
"Vendor says they patrolled last night. I don't think they did."
Open Patrol Calendar — look at last night.
If it's gray, no patrol was logged. Confirm with Patrol History at the row level.
Take the result to the vendor with a date and screenshot.
"How much money is sitting in unpaid citations right now?"
Open Citation Report.
Read the Unpaid stat card.
Optionally filter by Date Range to see how much is recent vs aged.
For collection workflows, use the Export ICS Debt option.
"Boot vendor took too long to remove a boot — let's review their times."
Open Boot Dispatch Report, filter by Brand or Patroller as needed.
Review the Removal Time column to see how long each removal took.
Outlier rows are conversation starters with the vendor.
"Auditing the property for end-of-year reporting"
Patrol Analytics filtered to the year — overall picture.
Violation Report filtered to the year — full enforcement record.
Citation Report filtered to the year — financial picture.
Citation Dispute Report filtered to the year — dispute outcomes.
Export each as needed.
Things That Sometimes Surprise PMs
The Citation Report is a financial view, not a citation list
The name sounds like it should be "every citation in chronological order," but the report's main job is tracking payment status and totals. For chronological citation activity, use the Violation Report filtered to citations.
The same enforcement event appears in multiple reports
By design. A tow shows up in Patrol History (as part of that night's activity), in Violation Report (as an enforcement action), in Citation Report (if there's a fee attached), and in Patrol Analytics (as part of the trend). Different views serve different questions.
Some reports require a specific property selection
If you're operating under "All Properties" in the property selector, some reports may not load until you choose a specific property. Switch the selector if a report errors out.
Date ranges don't carry across reports
If you set a 90-day filter in Patrol Analytics and then open the Violation Report, the filter doesn't carry over. Set the date range fresh on each report.
Archived violations don't appear by default
The Violation Report has an Exclude Archived option that's on by default. If you can't find an older violation, toggle to include archived.
Live Patrols only shows currently-in-progress activity
It's not a historical log. If a patrol ended five minutes ago, it's gone from Live Patrols and lives in Patrol History.
Important Notes
The reports listed here cover the most-used operational data, but the Reports section may include additional reports depending on your property's configuration and your user role.
For day-to-day work, Patrol Analytics and the Violation Report handle most common questions. The Citation Report is the one to know for any financial/AR question. Get familiar with all three first.
Exports are useful when you need the data outside the platform (board prep, sharing with leadership, audit purposes). Capture relevant data before retention windows close on logs and emails.
If a report doesn't exist for a question you ask often, raise it through Provide Feedback — reporting capabilities continue to expand.
