How to set up your first week in ParkingPass

Last updated: November 4, 2026

Use this checklist in your first week to confirm your community is set up correctly in ParkingPass. Most communities complete several of these steps during onboarding, so treat it as a verification list.

Set up your first week

  1. Verify your community settings. Confirm your unit list, vehicle limits, and lease dates are accurate. See Adding or removing units and Update maximum number of vehicles for a unit.

  2. Review your parking policy. Make sure your parking rules and violation severity levels match what you agreed to during onboarding. See Updating parking rules and How violation severity levels work.

  3. Add your team. Invite any other property management staff who need access. Give each person the role that matches their responsibilities. See Adding additional property management users and How user roles work.

  4. Verify your patrol setup. Confirm your patrol hours and who patrols your community, whether that's a patrol partner or your own team. See Changing patrol vendors if your patrol partner details are wrong.

  5. Set up your Do-Not-Tow list. Add vehicles that should never be towed, like employees and contractors. See Managing the Do-Not-Tow (DNT) list.

  6. Bring in residents. Invite residents one at a time, share your community keyword for self-registration, or import everyone at once with the Resident Data Manager. See Inviting a new resident, How do I find my keyword?, and Importing a rent roll.

  7. See what residents see. Get familiar with how residents register and use ParkingPass. It makes their support questions easier to answer. See How to see the resident portal.
