Setting up paid public parking

Last updated: November 3, 2026

To let members of the public, such as retail customers or visitors to nearby businesses, pay to park in specific spots at your community, email support@parkingpass.com. ParkingPass Support sets up these Public Guest Passes for you.

Before you start

  • Decide which parking spots will be public, and have their spot numbers ready.

  • Confirm the price you want to charge. Pricing has to be set before setup so payments are configured correctly.

  • If you need signs for the public spots, have a contact name, a mailing address for delivery, and any wording you want on the signs.

Steps

  1. Email support@parkingpass.com.

  2. Include your community name.

  3. List the spot numbers you want set aside as public spots.

  4. Give the price you want to charge.

  5. If you need signs, include the contact name, mailing address, and any sign wording.

What happens next

ParkingPass Support and our technical team set the spots aside as public spots and configure payments. Once setup is done, members of the public register and pay at public.parkingpass.com. Signs help them find that page and pay correctly.

Important notes

  • Public spots need to be clearly set up in ParkingPass so patrol officers don't enforce against paying visitors.

  • Your community manages garage access codes, entry instructions, and any physical access control.

  • To change your public spots or pricing later, email support@parkingpass.com.
